Top Ten Tuesday: Books That Make You Want to Travel

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

Itโ€™s freebie week for TTT and Iโ€™m just so stuck on the yearning to travel that Iโ€™m bringing back out the books that help me feel like Iโ€™m traveling even though Iโ€™m very much not. Or perhaps, itโ€™ll have the opposite effect and make me wish I was traveling even more.

Either way, who doesnโ€™t love a bit of travel escapism in their reading? Please donโ€™t raise your hand if thatโ€™s you. (Just kidding, you totally can, but Iโ€™ll need a 5-paragraph essay from you explaining why not).

Without further ado, here are some of the books that make me want to travel to the locations heavily featured within its pages.

Top Ten Tuesday: Book Covers That Feel Like Summer

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

Todayโ€™s TTT is going to have to be short because Iโ€™m using my limited phone data to write it up due to a nationwide outage that has knocked out my home internet for 5 days and counting now. Working from home has come to relying on good friendsโ€™ hospitality and kindness to take me in. At least this leaves a lot of time for reading physical books. Reminds you the internet and connectivity shouldnโ€™t be everything, you know?

Anyway, I mentioned in my wrap up for June that Iโ€™ve really been feeling summer lately and getting to enjoy it with good friends and family. So this weekโ€™s topic was already on mind and Iโ€™m so happy to share the book covers that have always made me think of summer.

Top Ten Tuesday: Most Anticipated Books Releasing in Second Half of 2022

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

I cannot believe itโ€™s already the first week of July. Itโ€™s extraordinary how time flies by so fast. On one hand Iโ€™m super sad time just moves at such lightning pace when one is having fun, but on the other hand, Iโ€™m super excited becauseโ€ฆ.well, my most anticipated books in the rest of the year are that much closer to their release date.

Iโ€™m sure some of these (if not most of these) will be on many of your lists, but Iโ€™m always happy for a shoutout of your favourites in the comments below! And if thereโ€™s a surprising addition you didnโ€™t know about but are now excited for its release too, please put that in the comments too! I love sharing the love of books with you all in the community. We hype one another up and itโ€™s amazing.

P.S. you may notice Iโ€™m generally most excited for books that are sequels (or the finale!) of books in a series. Iโ€™m a sucker like that.
