It’s freebie week for TTT and I’m just so stuck on the yearning to travel that I’m bringing back out the books that help me feel like I’m traveling even though I’m very much not. Or perhaps, it’ll have the opposite effect and make me wish I was traveling even more.

Either way, who doesn’t love a bit of travel escapism in their reading? Please don’t raise your hand if that’s you. (Just kidding, you totally can, but I’ll need a 5-paragraph essay from you explaining why not).

Today’s TTT is going to have to be short because I’m using my limited phone data to write it up due to a nationwide outage that has knocked out my home internet for 5 days and counting now. Working from home has come to relying on good friends’ hospitality and kindness to take me in. At least this leaves a lot of time for reading physical books. Reminds you the internet and connectivity shouldn’t be everything, you know?

Anyway, I mentioned in my wrap up for June that I’ve really been feeling summer lately and getting to enjoy it with good friends and family. So this week’s topic was already on mind and I’m so happy to share the book covers that have always made me think of summer.

I cannot believe it’s already the first week of July. It’s extraordinary how time flies by so fast. On one hand I’m super sad time just moves at such lightning pace when one is having fun, but on the other hand, I’m super excited because….well, my most anticipated books in the rest of the year are that much closer to their release date.

I’m sure some of these (if not most of these) will be on many of your lists, but I’m always happy for a shoutout of your favourites in the comments below! And if there’s a surprising addition you didn’t know about but are now excited for its release too, please put that in the comments too! I love sharing the love of books with you all in the community. We hype one another up and it’s amazing.

P.S. you may notice I’m generally most excited for books that are sequels (or the finale!) of books in a series. I’m a sucker like that.
