Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
It’s been such a hectic month in my personal and work life. I even missed last week’s TTT which is a first in two years. But I’m back and ready to share this week’s prompt: those cozy reads!
When I think of cozy reads, I think of warm blankets, a cup of hot something (used to be tea but I can’t drink caffeine anymore so I guess it’s apple cider in my imagination now) and most importantly, a sense of peace.
However, this list was crafted in mind of my recent illness last month and being stuck in my room trying to get better but also wanting something to keep my mind off of being so sick. In such a mood, I tend to gravitate towards books that feature epic romances that make me feel instead of think too much. So a lot of these books are contemporary romances although there are some that are fantasies or historical books.
If you chase such feelings when reading a book, I hope you’ll enjoy this list!

- A Thousand Heartbeats by Kiera Cass
- Magnolia by Kristi Cook
- Walk the Edge by Katie McGarry
- Love, Life, and the List by Kasie West
- Defy by Sara B. Larson
- 10 Blind Dates by Ashley Easton
- A Lady’s Guide to Fortune-Hunting by Sophie Irwin
- If I’m Being Honest by Emily Wibberley & Austin Siegemund-Broka
- Love & Gelato by Jenna Evans Welch
- The Great Hunt by Wendy Higgins

What constitutes a cozy read to you? Do you think any of mine fit the bill for your definition?
Romances are a wonderful thing to read when you’re not feeling well. I hope you’re better now!

I love this and your definition of what constitutes a cosy read during times when you need a good distraction and I totally agree. Sometimes I just need a book to give me all the feels and take me away from reality—that’s usually a romance. I love Ladies Guide to Fortune-Hunting but Kiera Cass’ book looks great too! 😍

I still need to read DEFY. It’s been on my bookshelf for forever and yet…it’s still unread. I need to remedy that!
Happy TTT (on a Wednesday)!
