Top Ten Tuesday: Books Featuring Bookstores

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

This week’s TTT is all about bookstores, however I had to tweak the original prompt a bit which asked for the Top Ten favourite bookstores I’d like to visit. While I’d love to visit other bookstores, I don’t particularly have a specific list I’d want to visit.

So instead, this week I’m focusing on books that feature bookstores in their plots. As a former bookseller, I am very fond of bookstores and the people we meet there. I’m always super happy to come across a book where bookstores may be the setting or a major plot point in the story.

Let me know if you’ve read any of these, or if you can come up with some titles I’ve missed!

September 2022 Wrap Up and TBR

Like so many months this year, September has flown by, but its effects have been felt. The month started off fairly warm and still in good shape for biking – which I try to do as much as I can. Now it’s been cold enough I need to wrap myself up in a hoodie indoors and with a coat outdoors.

Unlike the previous month, I’ve been slowly getting out of my super long reading slump. Hopefully this setback doesn’t prevent me from meeting my reading goal this year but we shall see. I feel like I’m in a good place right now and I’m not putting too too much pressure on myself to meet it at all costs.

Let’s get into it, shall we?
