Wow, it’s December already, and so the last month of 2022 has arrived. The weather is basically full winter where I am now, but hopefully it’s slightly less cold where y’all are. As usual, we’ve prepared a list of anticipated books coming this month! We have a slightly shorter list this month, though no less exciting than other months. I have attached the goodreads link for your convenience. Hope you enjoy this month’s line up!
And that’s a wrap! Are there any exciting books that you all are looking forward to this holiday season? Let us know in the comments below! I can’t get over The Shattered City‘s cover, personally.
Oh friends, itโs been a stressful month of wedding planning and managing my anxiety manifesting into physical symptoms. I will have to keep this wrap up short, but will say Iโm thankful for the supports in my life to get through the harder seasons.
Iโm really looking forward to Christmas and the break from work. But until then, letโs look back at November which came and went in a rather quick manner.
What did I read this month?
Most surprising: Iโve been trying to delve into more memoirs this year (not the biggest fan of nonfiction works) but Jennette McCurdyโs book was by far the most surprising. Iโm Glad My Mom Died was truly a journey to take with this young star who chronicles so much of her hardships since she was a child.
New author alert: A Cosmic Kind of Love takes this one this month. I loved the angst, sometimes the miscommunications, and most importantly, the feel good moments. I think Samantha Young is definitely an author to keep an eye on for future books.
Not as expected: Not to be super critical but Karen McManus sets such a high bar for herself that Nothing More to Tell was a little underwhelming from a mystery standpoint. Itโs definitely an average mystery with those telltale twists that characterizes McManusโ writing but itโs honestly nothing much to rave about.
Guilty pleasures: Yes, Iโve been in need of cute romances to help de-stress and rest more this month. Maggie Dallenโs books are just the fit, featuring geeks who end up finding their person in someone who is, well, higher in the social school ladder. Loads of silliness and nothing that has to be taken too seriously, all of her books were welcome reads that made November a bit better.

Howโs your month been? Looking forward to the end of 2022?
Next time, we will wrap up the year. Until then, look forward to some end of the year reflections on the blog!
Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
Itโs been such a hectic month in my personal and work life. I even missed last weekโs TTT which is a first in two years. But Iโm back and ready to share this weekโs prompt: those cozy reads!
When I think of cozy reads, I think of warm blankets, a cup of hot something (used to be tea but I canโt drink caffeine anymore so I guess itโs apple cider in my imagination now) and most importantly, a sense of peace.
However, this list was crafted in mind of my recent illness last month and being stuck in my room trying to get better but also wanting something to keep my mind off of being so sick. In such a mood, I tend to gravitate towards books that feature epic romances that make me feel instead of think too much. So a lot of these books are contemporary romances although there are some that are fantasies or historical books.
If you chase such feelings when reading a book, I hope youโll enjoy this list!
