August 2022 Wrap Up and TBR

Whoa, where did the time go? I am going to be totally upfront with you all and tell you this is going to be one SUPER short wrap up this month because…

…I only finished one book 😅 Which is highly unusual for me but I’ve been spending every weekend and certain weeknights catching up with friends and family. You gotta have these months, right?

Plus, I had a wonderful time with The Alice Experience (which is documented here). As you may be able to tell from this blog, I do have a little thing for Alice in Wonderland.

I also got to meet a wonderful author at Fan Expo last weekend which I will document soon in a post, plus I won a wonderful giveaway from a certain author I’ve admired for a long time. This post will come out soon with all the details, I promise!

It’s been a busy month full of book-adjacent events but let’s get onto what I did read…which is few and far between.

July 2022 Wrap Up and TBR

I hope July has been a good one for you. It’s been a whirlwind of hang outs and fun for me, but that obviously means reading has taken a back seat to everything. Which is totally fine and something that we should NEVER feel guilty about. Live life the way that is fulfilling to you and always place your priorities towards what is most important. While I adore reading, life is most precious when I spend time with my loved ones. So don’t ever feel like reading has to take #1 in your life because it really doesn’t unless you want it to.

That being said, I did have some good reading moments this month in between the fun, especially when my introverted self needed some much deserved recharging after all the social activities. Let’s see what I got up to this July!

What did I read this month?

June 2022 Wrap Up and TBR

Can I just say this month has been absolutely crazy?

I got kind of sidetracked for the first half of the month when inspiration hit me hard and the writing juices just kept on flowing. I wrote 40K words for a fun story just for myself in about a week. I haven’t written like that in YEARS and it felt amazing.

That being said, when you’re stuck in a world of your own making with characters you’re living out plots with, it’s kind of hard to go dive into another world. So reading definitely took a little dive (as well as the blogging, whoops) but I’m learning that it is okay.

Repeat it with me, friends. It is OKAY, completely okay to have months where you don’t read that much, where you don’t post that much. Give yourself grace and live a little outside of this community if you need it! This is about doing it because we love it and not because it’s a chore to have to do.

Anyway, that’s my little motivational spiel. I know that’s not what you’re here for. So let’s dig into my month.

What did I read this month?
