Top Ten Tuesday: Favourite Ships and Quotes

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

I’m switching it up this week for TTT as I don’t really recall specific moments in books unless I’ve reread it multiple times. Too many stories, you know? I’m not an annotater by any means ‘cause that feels too much like homework to me. Reading is for fun, but the significant things do stick out and stay with me for years.

That being said, I’ve decided to highlight my fave ships from books and the quotes that represent their relationship to me. Essentially, why do I feel they’ve touched my heart without trying to give away any spoilers.

Hope you enjoy!

Wanda & Ian

Book: The Host by Stephanie Meyer

It’s not the face, but the expressions on it. It’s not the voice, but what you say. It’s not how you look in that body, but the thing you do with it.
You are beautiful.

Tessa & Will

Book: The Infernal Devices by Cassandra Clare

You are not the last dream of my soul.
You are the first dream, the only dream I ever was unable to stop myself from dreaming. You are the first dream of my soul, and from that dream I hope will come all other dreams, a lifetime’s worth.

Abby & Cooper

Book: Love, Life, and the List by Kasie West

“I realized love was this.” His put his hand on his chest. “This deep, intense caring about someone’s well-being. About wanting that person to be okay no matter what happens to yourself.”

Meghan & Ash

Book: The Iron Fey by Julie Kagawa

I have come from the End of the World…in order to stand before you today. I have but one request—to take my place at your side. To resume my duty as your knight, and to protect you and your kingdom for as long as I draw breath.

Isla & Josh

Book: Isla and the Happily Ever After by Stephanie Perkins

In a moment that is a hundred dreams come true – Joshua Wasserstein laces his fingers through mine…
“There,” he says. “I’ve been waiting a long time to do that.”
Not nearly as long as I’ve been waiting.

Some of these quotes have got me in my feels. Hope you have a lovely Tuesday and rest of the week!
