This month has felt oddly long and short. It’s truly been a whirlwind for me. But before it’s over, I can’t forget to participate in this lovely monthly post by my friend, Leslie.

June is an interesting birthstone month with alexandrite as one of the birthstones attributed to it. I settled on a lighter purple theme that span the spectrum of lavender to purple-pink. Hope you all enjoy!

I’m doing this a little earlier this month, but May’s birthstone is so aptly chosen for this time of year. It’s emerald, baby, and it’s gorgeoussss. The dark green hues just remind me to spring and the growth of everything around me (plus my allergies but we don’t have to talk about that).

As I’ve done with the other months, I’ve picked an assortment of book covers I hope represent this birthstone well. If you enjoy a book or two on this list, please give a shout out in the comments below!

The month of April is represented by the beautiful diamond! While people say diamonds are a girl’s best friend, I’d just like to think they sparkle nicely. I’m representing diamond with white covers. I chose a selection of those with solid white backgrounds and not too many other vivid colours in the foreground, which unfortunately limits the number of covers that fit.
